Samukeliso Khumalo –WILD Executive Director

Samukeliso Khumalo is the Executive Director at Women’s Institute for Leadership Development (WILD), a gender, human rights, and development practitioner, with over a decade of experience in advancing gender equality, racial justice, diversity, inclusion, women’s rights, and empowerment in leadership development, political and civil participation, socio-economic empowerment, impact investing, democratic governance, transitional justice, climate change, and sustainability.

Duduzile Mathema – Programmes Manager

Mathema ensures that the organization's brand is upheld through effective stakeholder engagement. As a Communications Officer under the YCA4SOTRA Project at Women's Institute for Leadership Development, she combines her passion for storytelling with her expertise in communication. Her responsibilities include developing communication strategies, managing social media platforms, and creating informative content that highlights the organization’s initiatives and achievements. She also provides strategic leadership and oversight for the programs department, focusing on advancing women’s rights in areas such as leadership development, governance, socio-economic empowerment, and climate justice.

Vainah Kufa – Finance Manager

Kufa is dedicated to maintaining the financial integrity and operational efficiency of the organization through overseeing WILD’s financial health and optimizing cash flow to
support strategic goals. She develops and monitors budgets in collaboration with department heads to ensure alignment with project objectives. She also prepares detailed financial reports
for management and donors, providing insights for informed decision-making. She manages inventory processes to optimize resource tracking and minimize waste. She ensures accurate
financial records and collaborating with auditors for seamless audit processes. Kufa oversees payroll to ensure timely and accurate employee compensation, while managing employee
records and benefits.

The YCA4SOTRA Team

Knowledge Khumalo - Project Officer

Khumalo is the Project Officer for the EU-funded YCA4SoTra project, in partnership with SayWhat and Save the Children. He develops interventions to boost climate resilience and economic empowerment for youth and young women, advocating for youth employment and green jobs with the government and the private sector. Khumalo collaborates with civil society to strengthen impact, tracks progress using project management tools, and ensures effective stakeholder engagement and participant selection. He also attends sector coordination meetings to enhance representation.

Jabulile Siwela - Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Officer

Siwela’s role is to implement Monitoring, Evaluation, and Accountability guidelines and tools. He ensures WILD has the necessary monitoring tools to track activities against our logical framework, enhancing project efficiency and effectiveness. He also documents key learnings and generate data findings for reports. The M.E.A.L desk collaborates closely with the Programs and Finance Departments to manage information and reporting processes.

Mkhokheli Dube - Finance and Administration Officer

Dube plays a vital role in overseeing the financial health of the organization, ensuring that all financial matters are current and in alignment with organizational policies. His responsibilities include managing accounting processes, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. He works to foster a positive workplace
culture while ensuring that HR policies are effectively implemented.

YCA4SOTRA Board members

YCA4SOTRA board which serves as a platform for young volunteers responsible for:
(1) District programming input and advisory services;
(2) Relationship Building entrepreneurs to voice their needs and concerns;
(3) Represent young people.
The YCA4SOTRA Board advocates for policies and initiatives that foster an enabling
environment for youths in the green economic empowerment ecosystem.
